Where is EPROPLAST GmbH headquartered?
EPROPLAST GmbH is based in the heart of Germany—in the picturesque half-timbered town of Schmalkalden in the state of Thuringia.
When was EPROPLAST GmbH founded?
EPROPLAST GmbH was founded in 1998. For over 25 years, we have been producing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions at our site in Schmalkalden. Our focus is on the manufacture of PET bottles and custom-designed customer bottles.
What products does EPROPLAST GmbH manufacture?
We manufacture packaging exclusively from PET. We offer a wide range of standard bottles, from which you can select your ideal bottle using our bottle finder. In addition, we develop customized PET bottles in collaboration with our customers. To this end, we have our own mold making facility and an in-house design and development department, which enable us to offer a comprehensive service from a single source.
Order
How can I place an order?
We only accept orders in writing. You can send your order by email to sales@eproplast.com or submit a request directly online using our bottle finder on our website. You will receive a quote promptly in response to your request. If you decide to make a purchase, please refer to the previous quote. Unfortunately, we cannot accept orders by telephone.
Can I also order PET bottles from EPROPLAST online?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to order directly via our website. However, you can select a standard package via our bottle finder and submit a request. We will send you a quote by email as soon as possible.
Can I find your standard range of products on your website?
Yes, you can find our entire standard range of PET bottles on our website. The bottle finder helps you select the right bottle for your application based on volume, thread, shape, and other criteria.
What information is important for placing an order with EPROPLAST?
- order quantity

- details on volume, thread, bottle height, color, rPET content, virgin material, etc.

If you are not yet registered as a customer with us, we also require:
- your company details (address, contact person, email address, phone number)

Are there minimum order quantities at EPROPLAST, or can I also order smaller quantities?
There are minimum order quantities, which vary depending on the bottle, coloring, and rPET content. As a rough guideline, the minimum order quantity for transparent standard PET bottles without coloring and rPET content is approximately 5 pallets. Please inquire individually about the minimum order quantity for your specific bottle.
Can I pick up my order myself?
Yes, you can pick up your ordered goods yourself. Please arrange a pickup date with us. We will then inform you of a time slot and the pickup location (gate number).
How long are the delivery times at EPROPLAST?
Our standard delivery time is usually 4-6 weeks, but may take longer depending on the workload.
Is it also possible to place an order by phone?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept orders by telephone. We require a written order in order to process your order efficiently and securely.
When and in what form will I receive an invoice for my order?
We will issue the invoice as soon as the goods have been handed over to the shipping service provider. For orders paid in advance, the goods will only be shipped after receipt of payment.
Prices, terms, and delivery times
Why can't I see prices on the EPROPLAST website?
You will not find prices for our bottles on our website, as prices are calculated individually based on specifications. Prices are only listed for products on sale. For larger purchase quantities, you can also conclude framework agreements with us. Please contact our sales department for more information.
Who should I contact to obtain prices for EPROPLAST bottles?
To obtain prices for our bottles, you have two options:
- Select your bottle in the bottle finder on our website and submit a request.
- Send us an email to sales@eproplast.com with the details of your desired bottle. Please also provide us with the relevant specifications so that we can prepare a suitable quote for you.
Does EPROPLAST also offer volume discounts?
Yes, we offer volume discounts based on order quantities.
What are the delivery times for individual products?
Our standard delivery time is usually 4-6 weeks. Should delays arise due to production conditions or other factors, we will inform you in good time.

I would like to develop a customized bottle with EPROPLAST. What information do you need from me?
The important factors are the application of the bottle, the product to be filled, the desired bottle shape, color, and quantity. We recommend a personal consultation to find the best solution for your application.
Complaints and returns
How can I make a complaint about an EPROPLAST product?
We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with one of our products. Please contact our sales department or your designated contact person directly. Send us an email with the relevant information and, if possible, pictures of the complaint.
Can I simply return a damaged or faulty delivery from EPROPLAST?
Please do not return the goods without consulting us first. Describe the damage to us by email, ideally with pictures, and we will take care of your request immediately.
In the event of a complaint, will I receive a replacement delivery and how long will it take to reproduce the item?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a general answer in the event of a complaint, as various factors must be taken into account. We examine each complaint individually in order to find the best possible solution. We are therefore unable to specify a specific processing time in advance. Please send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
The wrong bottles were delivered. Will EPROPLAST pick up the goods from me?
If we have delivered the wrong bottles to you, we will of course arrange for the goods to be collected. Here too, each case will be examined individually, but we will deal with your request as quickly as possible.
Products & Range
What is PET and why is it used for bottles?
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene terephthalate. It belongs to the polyester family and, thanks to its properties, is particularly suitable for the packaging industry, especially for beverage bottles and other food packaging.
Properties of PET:
- High strength: PET is characterized by high tensile strength and impact resistance, which makes it very resistant to mechanical damage.
- Chemical resistance: It exhibits excellent resistance to many chemicals, including acids and alkalis, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
- Good barrier properties: PET has excellent barrier properties against gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, providing optimal protection and keeping contents fresh. This property is particularly important for food packaging.
- Lightweight and transparent: The material is lightweight and offers high optical clarity, making it ideal for bottle manufacturing.
- Recyclability: PET is one of the most commonly recycled plastics worldwide and thus contributes to improving the environmental balance.
What types of PET bottles does EPROPLAST offer?
EPROPLAST offers a wide range of PET bottles, including round bottles, rectangular bottles, oval bottles, and canisters. We also manufacture special bottles for hot filling. Our hot fill bottles are suitable for liquids with a temperature of up to 87°C.
For which industries does EPROPLAST offer PET bottles?
Our PET bottles are suitable for a wide range of industries. We offer solutions for the food industry, cosmetics industry, and chemical-technical applications. All our PET packaging is food-certified and meets the requirements of the FSSC 22000 certificate.
How does the process of individual bottle development work at EPROPLAST?
If you would like to develop a customized bottle, we would be happy to arrange a personal consultation with you. The process is roughly as follows:
- You tell us the product you want to bottle.
- We discuss the desired bottle volume and the quantity required.
- We will also clarify further details regarding the form and other requirements in a personal meeting.
We will be happy to advise you on finding the optimal solution for your application.
Are PET bottles from EPROPLAST recyclable?
Yes, of course all our PET bottles are 100% recyclable. Since PET is a monomaterial, it can be efficiently returned to the recycling cycle. Our packaging can be disposed of and recycled in the yellow bag or yellow bin.
How does EPROPLAST guarantee the quality and safety of its bottles?
The quality and safety of our bottles are our top priority. That is why we are certified according to various standards:
- ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management)
- ISO 50001:2018 (Energy management)
- FSSC 22000 (food safety)
- GKV Code of Conduct (Code of Conduct for the Plastics Packaging Industry)
We also produce our own preforms to ensure the consistently high quality of our bottles.
