From 1 January 2025, new legal requirements for single-use plastic beverage bottles will come into force. It is therefore crucial to be aware of these requirements and implement them at an early stage.<\/p>

What are disposable plastic drinks bottles?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Disposable plastic drinks bottles are packaging in bottle form with a filling volume of up to 3.0 litres. In addition to the bottle, this also includes the cap and the label.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

These recyclate specifications will apply from 2025:<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In order to further promote the circular economy, the Packaging Act stipulates mandatory recycled content for single-use plastic drinks bottles:<\/p>

  • From 1 January 2025: At least 25% recycled plastics<\/p><\/li>

  • From 1 January 2030: At least 30% recycled plastics<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    As not only the bottle, but also the cap and label are included in the calculation of the recyclate content, we recommend that you already plan for a recyclate content of 30 %.<\/p>
